So...we were scheduled to have a spelling test today. The bonus word was Christopher Columbus....We give the bonus word to them at the beginning of the week so they can study it. As soon as one girl walked in the door, she handed me a card. I opened it and it said, "Dear Miss Ceren, That is too hard a spelling word - Christopher Columbus. Please don't take points off my spelling words. Please give me a 102." But that's not it....folded up inside the card was $15. The first grader was trying to bribe me!!!! I laughed so hard.

| So...i'm babysitting 3 kids for the weekend while their parents are out of town. The youngest one is cute and he says the funniest things. For example....
The 2 brothers were arguing in the car and the 3 year old says to the 7 year old, "If you don't stop...I will spank you so hard!" I laughed.
Back at the house...the 3 year old ran off. When I called out his name, he came running back. I said, "Where were you?" He said, "Working in my office."
During dinner....the 3 year old decided to wipe some food on my shirt. I said, "Why did you do that???" He said, "Because I was going to kiss you."
He is a charmer. Watch out girls.

Ok...here are some stories. Sorry to take so long updating..... A boy turned in his work. I looked over it quickly and said, "Perfect!" He said, "I know...because I am the great and powerful OZ!" (Picture him saying that in a deep voice.) I didn't know how to respond. About 2 or 3 times a week...I give the class a writing prompt and they write in their journals for morning work. Today's writing prompt was "I was so embarrassed when..." One boy gave me his journal and it said (in first grade handwriting...) "I was embarrassed when my mom makes fun of me for not having a girlfriend." Me - "You're not supposed to have a girlfriend...you are in first grade." Boy - "I want a girlfriend....there's just no one here that is pretty enough to ask out."

Well...school started up again....so it's time for stories. Every Wednesday, the school gets to wear "spirit clothes". This consists of school t-shirts and sweat pants. Today, I overheard a kid in the bathroom talking... "I just love spirit days....it's so much easier to pull your pants down."

You are Cinderella. You are hard-working and never complain, however,
your trust is sometimes misplaced and people sometimes take advantage
of you. Still, you are beautiful inside and out, and one day you will
realize it and find true love.

You are Lois. You are caring and conservative, but you've got a wild side.
